John is a proud first generation IBEW Local 494 member.  He began his career in 1994 serving a 5 year Inside Apprenticeship program graduating in 1999 as a Journey Inside Wireman.  He worked in the field until 2009 when he was appointed as a Business Representative for the Kettle Moraine Jurisdiction with the office located in Fond du Lac.  In 2015, John was asked to come to the Milwaukee office and continue his role as Business Representative.  In 2016, John was asked to be the Assistant Business Manager and in 2023 he was appointed by the Executive Board to be the Business Manager.  John has served as lead negotiator and second chair for multiple contracts.  In addition, he has served as a trustee on all the benefit funds and the Apprenticeship committee.  Outside of Local 494, John is a Commissioner for the Milwaukee Social Development Commission representing the Milwaukee Area Labor Council.  John is a proud parent of a son and daughter and a proud grandfather to his granddaughter.  In his free time, he enjoys the 4 seasons Wisconsin has to offer by fishing, hunting, waterskiing, and snowmobiling.

Nicholas Campbell was appointed as the Assistant Business Manager of IBEW local 494 on July 1st, 2023. Prior to that appointment as Assistant Business Manager, he served the local as a full time Business representative starting in 2016. Prior to coming on as a full time local 494 staff member he served the local on the Executive board from 2013 to 2016, was chairman from 2015-2016. Nick also was a founding member of the local 494’s renew committee. Nick has served as lead and second chair negotiator for multiple contracts. He has served as a trustee on the Labor Management Cooperation Committee. He also serves as a committee member on the JATC residential, JATC marketing, and MATC Construction Electrical Apprenticeship Advisory committees.

Nick began his career as an unrepresented electrical helper and was an ABC apprentice for one year before starting his IBEW 494 Inside Electrical Apprenticeship in 2007. He finished his apprenticeship in 2011 as a Journeyman Inside Wireman. Nick has worked for various contractors in our jurisdiction and worked in many other locals throughout the Midwest.

Nick is a proud first generation IBEW local 494 member and a second-generation union member. Nick resides in Jackson with his wife and two daughters. When he is not working or spending time with his family and friends, Nick enjoys hunting, fishing, and shooting sports.

Todd is a proud first generation IBEW Local 494 member.  He began his career in 1990. In 1993, he served a five-year ABC apprenticeship. He graduated from the apprenticeship program in 1998 as a Journeyman Electrician, where he worked in the field as a foreman until 2005. In 2006, he joined IBEW Local 494. In 2009-2013, he was appointed to serve as a delegate to the Milwaukee County Labor Council. In 2012-2014, he was appointed to serve as a member of the Safety and Health Committee. In 2012-2014, he was appointed to serve as Door Foreman at the General Membership meetings. In 2014, he was on the Milwaukee Inside Contract negotiations team. In 2014-present, he was asked to join the Milwaukee office as the Local’s Organizer. In 2017-present, he is a delegate to the Milwaukee Building and Construction Trades Council. In 2019-2021, he was appointed to the WCTC Electrical Advisory Committee. In 2022-present, he was appointed to serve on the JATC Facilities Advisory Committee. Todd is happily married to his beautiful wife of 17 years, Tiffany. They have four children, a son and three daughters. In his spare time, which is none, he is a crew member for Super-Late Models and Late Model racing teams, in Wisconsin. When not at the racetrack, he can be found somewhere hunting Ducks, Geese, Pheasants, and Turkeys. In the little spare time he can find, he also tries his luck at fishing.

Curt A. Brauer was appointed as a Business Representative with Local 494 on September 21, 2015.
His primary duty is overseeing Local 494’s northern jurisdiction operations, aka the Kettle Moraine (KM). Before assuming his appointment, Curt served as Vice Chair of the Kettle Moraine Unit, KM Negotiation team, and apprenticeship committee member.
Curt was accepted into the Inside apprenticeship program in 1991 and served a 5-year apprenticeship. Graduating in 1996. Over 24 years in the trade, Curt worked for several KM area contractors.
In his free time, Curt served on the Sheboygan County Board of Supervisors and is a Board member of Habitat for Humanity Lakeside and Lakeshore Technical College Board of Trustees and the Moraine Park Electrical Advisory Committee.
Curt is a proud second-generation IBEW Local 494 member and the father to 3rd generation 494 member. Curt resides in Sheboygan with his wife, Jean.

Don began his career with an IBEW Apprenticeship in 2001 and is now a Journeyman Wireman.  Throughout his 22 year career with IBEW Local 494, Don has involved himself in numerous Union committees and affiliated organizations including: meJATC apprentice interviews, Milwaukee Area Labor Council Delegation, Electrical Construction Industry Annuity Board of Trustees, MATC Construction Electrician Apprenticeship Advisory Committee, and multiple bargaining committees.  Don was appointed as a member of the IBEW Local 494 Executive Board in March of 2015 and served on the board until December of  2018 when he accepted his current position as Business Representative with IBEW Local 494.

Ken started work as an inside electrical apprentice on August 12th, 1995 and was sworn in at the general membership meeting in September.  He completed his 5 year apprenticeship in 2000. 

After working for a few years in locals across the country, work picked up in the Milwaukee area and he was able to become active in the local.  He was on a few committees with local 494 including soc and rec, the 494 marketing committee, inside contract bargaining committee, the political action committee, and was a delegate to the Milwaukee Area Labor Council. 

Ken was appointed as Internal Organizer by then IBEW 494 Business Manager, Dean Warsh.  He began this position on December 2nd, 2019.  The duties of Internal Organizer include member retention, as well as orientations for new sound and comm techs, CWs and RCWs.  He also was involved with bargaining contracts for Manning Lighting employees and campaign workers with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. 

A great part of his position involves working with the local 494 JATC, attending career fairs and teaching school groups about opportunities in the electrical field.

Robert “Bob” Weber has been a Business Representative since July 17, 2023.

Bob’s Main role at the hall is referral agent.  He is also the contact with Colectivo Coffee Roasters

Prior to Accepting the position of Business Representative Bob was Vice Chair of the KM unit for two terms, a three-time KM negotiation committee member, elected twice to the Executive Board earning the opportunity to be Chairman.  In addition, has Pro Tem numerous positions, KM Recording Secretary, Milwaukee Recording Secretary, Executive Board Recording Secretary, and chairing the KM Union Meetings.

Bob started his apprenticeship back in 1996, topping out in 2021. Soon after becoming a Journeyman Wireman, he was put on a service truck where he was able to work all aspects of the job.  Residential, commercial, and industrial from new installations, remodels, troubleshooting, and various tasks. For the last 5 years in the field, he took on the role of foreman which included running jobs and maintaining accounts.

In his free time, Bob enjoys volunteering, live events, camping, 5 K runs, sporting events weight training, and is an excellent golfer.

Bob currently lives in Sheboygan Falls with his son. Always happy spending time with friends and family.
